Real Madrid Battle Arsenal For Fekir

Though the winter transfer window just passed and the summer window is still months down the road, that hasn’t stopped the chatter of players potentially being on the move.
Real Madrid have identified Lyon’s Nabil Fekir as the man to replace Gareth Bale, according to the Daily Star.
Los Blancos are expected to be in the market for added creativity this summer and are ready to make a move for the highly-rated France international.
Arsenal are also keen on the tricky 24-year-old and are reportedly willing to spend £45m on the France international, who is being constantly monitored by Wenger’s scout Gilles Grimandi.

Barcelona corporate director Pancho Schroder concedes Lionel Messi's huge buyout clause may not be enough to frighten off big spenders. The Argentine maestro put a halt to speculation he could leave the Catalan giants by signing a contract extension until 2021 in November, with the deal including a €700 million release clause. But Schroder told Sky Sports: "We have established a clause that we consider sufficient for Messi to retire at Barcelona, but, having said that, a year ago we thought that Neymar's clause was also good enough to keep him and last summer it proved that it was not so. "Looking to the future, I think it's difficult, but I don't have a crystal ball and now things are getting a little crazy."

Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has dismissed as “fake news” allegations from a US woman that he raped her in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2009. “What they said today? Fake, fake news,” the Portuguese player said in an Instagram video. “They want to promote [themselves by using] my name. It’s normal. They want to be famous to say my name, but it is part of the job. I am a happy man and all good.” His comments come after German magazine  Der Spiegel  published an interview with Kathryn Mayorga in which she publicly identified herself as the woman making the allegation. The same magazine last year published a  report  stating Ronaldo had reached a $375,000 settlement with an unnamed woman in 2010.
